About Borussia Dortmund

Here you can buy official Borussia Dortmund tickets, from the club's own allocation or through its authorised partners. Borussia Dortmund was founded in 1909 by a group of young footballers connected to the Dreifaltigkeitskirche parish in Dortmund, and plays in the Bundesliga, the top division of German football.

The club became known far beyond Germany when it won the Champions League in 1997, beating Juventus in the final. Another successful period came in the early 2010s, with consecutive Bundesliga titles and a place in the 2013 Champions League final. Michael Zorc served the club for many years, first as a midfielder and later as sporting director. Matthias Sammer was a key player in the 1990s and later coached the team to the Bundesliga title in 2002.

Dortmund lies in the Ruhr region, and the club holds a central place in the region's sporting culture. Its strong supporter culture and high attendances make Borussia Dortmund one of the best-known football clubs in Germany.
