Here you find official Sporting Lisbon vs Manchester United tickets for the Champions League match. Sporting CP play the match at home, at Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, in the league phase of the competition.

The two clubs have met in Europe before. In the Cup Winners' Cup in 1964, Manchester United won the first match 4–1 at Old Trafford, and Sporting replied with a 5–0 win in Lisbon. In the Champions League in 2007, Manchester United won both group matches, 1–0 at Estádio José Alvalade and 2–1 at Old Trafford, and Cristiano Ronaldo scored in both.

Ronaldo is also the best-known link between the clubs. Sporting beat Manchester United 3–1 in a friendly on 6 August 2003, the day the new Estádio José Alvalade opened. Six days later, Manchester United signed him.

Manchester United are one of the best-known clubs in Europe. In 1968 they became the first English team to win the European Cup, and they won the Champions League twice under Alex Ferguson.

In the league phase, each club plays eight different opponents, four at home and four away. Sporting and Manchester United therefore meet only once in the league phase, in Lisbon.
