The two clubs have met six times in European competition, all in the Champions League, and Barcelona have won five of those matches. Barcelona knocked City out in the round of 16 in both 2013/14 and 2014/15. In the 2016/17 group stage, Pep Guardiola's first season at City, he faced his former club: Barcelona won 4–0 at Camp Nou, and City won the return match 3–1 in Manchester.

Camp Nou opened in 1957 and has been Barcelona's home ground ever since. The team returned in November 2025 to a partly reopened stadium, and the capacity is rising in stages while the rebuild continues.

Getting there

Metro serves both sides of the ground: Les Corts and Palau Reial on L3, Collblanc and Badal on L5. The streets fill from about two hours before kick-off.

When to arrive

Arrive before kick-off to allow time for entry procedures and security checks. Requirements vary by ticket type and competition, and we recommend bringing valid ID.

Around the ground

The stadium sits in Les Corts, a short metro ride from the centre and from the Sagrada Família and the Gothic Quarter that most visitors build the trip around.
